May 2008 -- Elizabeth Greenhas been appointed co-chair of the
Orlando CARE program which is a Credit Awareness Resistance Education Program for high school students and college freshman. We will be presenting the program to area schools beginning this month and will continue in the Fall. The program was initiated by Judge Ninfo, of the Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York.
February 2008 -- Dorothy Green, Robert Scott Shuker and Elizabeth Green will be featured in Orlando Magazine’s February issue as three of the Best Lawyers for 2008 in a survey by Woodward/White.
January 2008 -- The firm is pleased to announce that Jimmy D. Parrish, who practices in Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Reorganization has become a partner of the firm.
January 2008 -- Dan Osterndorf prevails before the 5th DCA on behalf of Progressive Express Insurance Company.

October 2007 -- On October 23, Dorothy Green gave presentations on “Current Exemptions Under the Fair Labor Standards Act” and on “Recordkeeping Requirements” as part of the Wage and Hour Law Update seminar presented by the National Business Institute.
September 2007 -- Daniel P. Osterndorf was elected chairman of the Minority Business Enterprise Certification Board for the City of Orlando.
September 2007 -- Lori Milvain, intellectual property partner, has been appointed to the Geographical Indications Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA) for its 2008-2009 Term.
September 2007 -- Elizabeth Green, who was a 1985 finalist, has been invited to judge at the North American finals of the Phillip C Jessup International Moot Court competition to be held in November at Stetson Law school. She also was included in the 2007 best lawyers in America. Super lawyers and Orlando magazines top lawyers all in the area of bankruptcy.

June 2007 -- Three attorneys with the firm have been named "Super Lawyers" by Law & Politics Magazine for 2007. Scott Shuker and Elizabeth Green are recognized in the practice area of Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights law. Dorothy Green is recognized in the area of labor and employment law. Attorneys are selected for this honor through peer voting. Only five percent of attorneys in the state of Florida are named "Super Lawyers."
June 2007 -- Dorothy Green gave a presentation on "Employment Law and Insurance Coverage" as part of the seminar, "Survey of Insurance Issues that Every Lawyer Should Know." The Insurance Law Committee of the Orange County Bar Association presented the seminar on June 21.
April 2007 -- Chirag B. Kabrawala has joined the firm as an associate in the real estate law department.
April 2007 -- For the year 2007, bankruptcy partner R. Scott Shuker, has been honored by the following: Florida Trend: Legal Elite; Best Lawyers' in America, Chambers USA: Best Lawyers in USA for Business, Orlando Business Journal: Best of the Bar, and Orlando Magazine, Best Lawyers. This is the fourth year in a row that Mr. Shuker has been honored by each of these entities.
March 2007 -- Dorothy F. Green participated on a panel including
retired Judge Joseph Hatchett, Woody Rodriquez, and Carl Zahner discussing
diversity and professionalism at the seminar, "Leadership in the
Law: Convergence of Diversity & Professionalism," presented
by the Professionalism Committee and the Diversity Committee of the
Orange County Bar on March 22, 2007.

January 2007 -- Elizebeth Green has been named as one of the best lawyer's in America 2007 and Best Lawyer's in Orlando 2007.
January 2007 -- Lori T. Milvain, Intellectual Property Partner, recently topped the “500 Mark” at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. As of December, 2006, Ms. Milvain has filed and prosecuted 506 federal trademark applications on behalf of clients.

received favorable rulings from the Orange County Value Adjustment
Board granting Universal City Property Management III, LLC's
("UCPM") petitions challenging the Orange County
Property Appraiser's denial of agricultural classification
and its valuation of parcels. These decisions result in granting
of agricultural classification and a reduction in valuation
of UCPM's lands.

from the Fifth District Court of Appeal upholding favorable
judgment after trial in William Donegan, Orange County Property
Appraiser v. Universal City Property Management III, LLC,
in the Circuit Court of the 9th Judicial Circuit, Orange
County, Florida Case No. 03-CA-1297. The judgment reverses
the Orange County Property Appraiser's denial of agricultural
classification to Universal City Property Management's tax
parcels.

K. Rodney May was sworn in as a United States Bankruptcy Judge who will be
sitting in the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division.
Judge May joins The Honorable Michael G. Williamson, another former Partner
of Gronek & Latham, LLP, as one of 5 full time Judges in Tampa. All at
Gronek & Latham, LLP are proud of Judge May's selection and wish him all
the best in his judicial career.
July 2003 -- James N. Carlin, Jr., Associate
in the Litigation Practice Group. Jim
comes to us from the Washington, D.C. firm of Howrey Simon Arnold & White,
LLP. He is a graduate of George Washington Law School and Duke University.

Property Partner Lori T. Milvain was
sworn in as the President of the Central Florida Association
for Women Lawyers (CFAWL) on June 13, 2003 at Lee's Lakeside.
Orlando's new Mayor, Buddy Dyer, spoke at the luncheon and
swearing-in of the new officers for the 2003-2004 year. Lori
worked with Buddy as a paralegal 15 years ago, before she attended
law school.

T. Milvain recently began representing client petitioners before the
Trademark Trial and Appeal Board in Washington, D.C., seeking cancellation
of trademarks based upon prior abandonment by the mark's owner.
