BRUCE D. KNAPP has been affiliated with the firm since 2007 and chairs the firm’s corporate practice group.  He has practiced as a corporate attorney since his admission to the bar in 1985.  He has extensive experience representing clients in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, corporate governance, entity formation, shareholder disputes, real estate sales and commercial leasing transactions, equity and debt financings, and technology and other commercial contracts.  As a career-long business lawyer, Mr. Knapp has represented a wide variety of manufacturers, retailers, financial institutions, energy producers, technology companies and other entities. He has advised public companies on securities offerings, periodic reporting and executive compensation matters. He also has extensive experience conducting secured and unsecured single bank and syndicated loan transactions, having served as in-house associate counsel to one of the nation’s largest financial institutions.  He regularly assists out-of-state law firms whose clients conduct Florida-based operations and who require the delivery of Florida legal opinions and advice related to secured and unsecured loan transactions, equity and debt offerings and other transactions.
