HEWETT G. WOODWARD - COMMERCIAL LITIGATION
Hewett
G. Woodward joined the firm in July 2006 and practices with the commercial
litigation department.
Prior to joining Latham, Shuker, Eden & Beaudine,
Hew practiced with the commercial litigation group at Shuffield,
Lowman & Wilson, P.A. working
on a variety of matters including qui tam actions, partnership and
employment disputes, administrative appeals and nursing home litigation.
Prior
to relocating to Orlando from New York City, Hew litigated subrogation
claims on behalf of property insurers while practicing
with Cozen O’Connor, and he handled property damage and insurance
coverage disputes on behalf of insureds while practicing with Weg
and Myers, P.C.
After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from
Bucknell University, Hew earned his law degree from Fordham School
of Law in 2000, where
he was a regional semifinalist in the American Trial Lawyers Association
competition, as well as a regional quarterfinalist in the National
Institute of Trial Advocacy competition. Hew also served on the
Fordham Moot Court Trial Advocacy Team and served as a judicial
extern to the Honorable James C. Francis, IV in the United States
District Court for the Southern District of New York.
